Went with DelPet to Chapmans, which is a fishing tackle shop near her house. As an aside, it is a absolutely hooooge fishing tackle shop occupying just about a whole block of shops in a run down council estate in Scunthorpe - it's quite surreal really Confused

Anyway I asked the bloke in charge if he had any worms for composting - I wasn't the first to ask - off he went to the fridge and brought me three cartons stuffed full of worms. I parted with £16-50 and brought them home.

Now I'd lovingly prepared a home for them, got compost and "bedding for them and some tasty stuff for them to eat - so was expecting them to settle in nicely and get on with turning it into lovely compost.

Little did I know that the worm escape committee had been meeting - I can just see them now,
"Binky you are going over the top, Ginger you distract the guards while Mac and Taff tunnel. Geordie have you got those forged ID documents, Yank are you still planning on nicking the Harley and leaping the fence? Righto good luck chaps, see you back by the compost bin and remember if Jerry speaks to you DON'T REPLY IN ENGLISH"

I went into the garage this morning to find worms taking cover all over the place !!! I rounded the little buggers back up and marched them back into the camp - the cooler awaits the worst offenders Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

awww bless!
it's just their way of keeping you entertained until the spring Very Happy

It's nice that you've named them Rolling Eyes but I notice there are no ladies names.....might this be the reason for their little excursion? a bunch of squaddies, new in town, will always head to the nearest nightclub on the pull.....you'd best get some lager and lassies in quick mate Laughing

Well the increased patrols, machine gun nests on top of the tumble dryer, electric fences and search lights seem to have done the business, fewer escapees overnight Laughing Laughing Laughing
