When are you sowing your Autumn ones? I seem to be ahead of myself this Autumn - perhaps trying to put this crap year behind me and get on with the next one. Most of my brassicas (loads this year) my onions and my garlic are in already (although going to buy some more garlic I think) I now want to get on with my autumn beans and peas. I filled my 72 pots with compost then checked the calendar in my HDRA book - and it says the end of October Sad

Mine are about 4" tall, in loo rolls. They've been in the mini g-house for about a fortnight now. When do you reckon I should plant them on the lottie?

Same for peas & mange tout... should they go out at the same time?

They should be all right to go out about now as long as they have been hardened off. I have two sowings (about 32 each sowing) in up the plot already and have another sowing that I waiting to show in at the moment. I am planning on four all told - 2 lots of Aquadulces overwintering on the plot and two spring sown lots of Imperial Green Longpods.

My first spring sown lot are showing their heads above the compost now. Will have to prepare their bed at the weekend and sow the next lot towards the end of March. That'll probably be the last lot for this year.

I've got pods as long as my finger but they are nowhere near ready in this frozen northern wasteland.
